Microclimate Wine Bar in Geneva

Great wine and beer spot. We sat and talked with the bartender and patrons for numerous drinks. Very welcoming and a great place to kick off your downtown Geneva experience.

I got a real kick out of the owner / sommelier. She explained how she acquired her extensive knowledge of wines - and she was indeed super knowledgeable. We did not go in season, so there were limited flights from which to choose. She refused to serve a flight unless she had every wine available, as the flights were chosen to be drunk in a very specific order. You had to take a paper chart and number the glasses as she poured them. It was just a little intimidating, but in a fun, this-will-be-a-story way. I would definitely recommend if you are near the Finger Lakes in NY.

Best wine selection in New York state. The owners are very kind and extremely knowledgeable about wine. The best thing about this place -- no one will make you feel bad for not knowing wine. The owners operate with the attitude that there's always more to learn and educate. Extremely approachable people!

I've been going here for years and always had the best experience of any wine bar. The owners are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and have one of the broadest and eclectic selections of wine (and some beers to boot!), both by the flight and by individual glass. The décor invites you to step into "old school" European cafe coziness (brick walls, old wooden floors, warm yet dim lighting) while still with a New York flair (modern artwork, etc.). Definitely a gem for years in Geneva, and hopefully for many, many more years to come. Definitely recommended and I'll be back as long as they stay open!

Great little wine bar in Geneva, NY, and a great place to visit if you're exploring the Finger Lakes wine region. The manager, Danny, has excellent knowledge of the area and a smart, modern palate. He pours good wines at good prices, in a relaxed environment. I visited on a quiet midweek night, and he planned a day trip of the western side of Lake Seneca for me, minimising driving time and highlighting some must-trys for the area.

Had such an amazing time at microclimate. Stephenie is a wonderful hostess and outstandingly knowledgeable about the wines of the world. If your ever looking for a nice relaxed place to get a drink and chat with great people look no further.

Great place to relax, converse, and have an excellent beverage. The people behind the bar are very knowledgeable about various wines and beer. The antipasto tray is a must; order it when you're by yourself to make quick friends.
